Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has declared that the “real Kalonzo” has finally emerged, insisting that his political opponents are unsettled and uncertain about how to deal with him.
Speaking with uncharacteristic firmness, the seasoned politician noted that his patience and sacrifices have often been misunderstood as weakness. He warned that in 2027, it would be too late for anyone to attempt political games against him.
“The real Kalonzo Musyoka has come out, and they are scared, they don’t know how to handle me,” he said, making clear his determination to chart his own course.
Kalonzo acknowledged that betrayal has been part of his political journey, but emphasized that he has never allowed bitterness to define him. Instead, he remains focused on his principles.
“Betrayals happen to me; I am not bitter at all,” he remarked, pointing to past experiences that shaped his resilience.
Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, Kalonzo stated that even if betrayal strikes again, he would only accept it as part of the political process and not retaliate in kind.
“If I get betrayed again in 2027, I will say I was betrayed. I do not believe in betraying anybody,” he said.
His words reflect a leader both battle-hardened and unyielding, projecting a tougher stance than in previous years.
The statement signals a turning point in Kalonzo’s career, as he positions himself as a formidable contender unwilling to be sidelined.
