A family in Ghana is mourning after a shocking tragedy claimed the lives of a mother and her two daughters. The victims were identified as Alberta Armah Hagan, her 15-year-old daughter Nana Asare, and her 8-year-old daughter Elsie Hagan. They were found dead in their bedroom, lying in a pool of blood.
The heartbreaking incident happened at their home in Tuba Net-Link Estate. Neighbors who heard the distress raised the alarm and called the police. When officers arrived, they discovered a horrifying scene inside the house. Alberta and her two daughters were lifeless, while her son was still alive but badly injured with deep cuts on his head. He was bleeding heavily and was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.
Inside the house, police also found a five-month-old baby. The little one was unharmed and lying quietly on a chair in the living room, unaware of the tragedy that had unfolded.
Investigations revealed that the attacker was Alberta’s lover, Samuel Amoah. He was said to have carried out the brutal killings after a disagreement with Alberta. Reports indicated that Alberta was married, and her husband lived in the United States. Even though he supported his family financially, Alberta entered into a relationship with Amoah in his absence.
The relationship turned sour when Alberta accused Amoah of withdrawing money from her bank account. The money had reportedly been sent by her husband from abroad. Alberta confronted him, accusing him of spending it on another woman. The confrontation led to tension between them, and Amoah later attacked her and the children in a rage.
After the incident, Amoah fled from the scene and tried to escape. However, on September 17, he was arrested at Suhum in the Eastern Region. While in custody, he confessed to committing the crime. The Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department confirmed that Amoah is being held and will face court proceedings.
The incident has shocked the community and left many people wondering how love and trust could end in such a cruel and tragic way.
