The first auction will take place on October 9 at the Pangani Auction Centre in Nairobi. Properties on offer include a three-bedroom apartment in Riara Apartments, two apartments and a maisonette in Greenspan Estate, and a townhouse at Loresho Ridge Estate along Waiyaki Way.
In Kisumu, Keysian Auctioneers will auction a four-storey block at Savannah Court in Lolwe Estate on October 16. The property, registered under Caroline Adhiambo Obwa and Lorenzo Ochieng, contains eight apartments.
On the same day, Astorion Auctioneers will sell three developments in Migori County. One property near Kadika Girls Secondary School has 20 apartments and is almost 85 percent complete, including parking, balconies, a borehole, and a septic tank. Another property in Rongo Township has a three-bedroom bungalow, multiple rental units, and a caretaker’s cubicle. The third property in Wuth-Ogik consists of two blocks of one-bedroom apartments with 10 units, connected to mains electricity and piped water.
Interested bidders must pay a refundable deposit of Ksh500,000 by banker’s cheque to obtain a bidding number. Successful bidders will pay 10 percent of the purchase price on auction day, with the balance due within 60 days. All sales are subject to reserve prices and necessary approvals.
In total, 43 apartments, along with maisonettes, townhouses, rental units, and bungalows, will be sold to the public as part of the government’s crackdown on corruptly acquired assets.
