Trouble seems to be brewing after photos of Reverend Lucy Natasha’s husband, Prophet Carmel, went viral showing him in matching outfits with his spiritual daughter, Karen Rajan. Sparking rumours of cheating.
The images, which were first shared during Karen’s birthday celebration, triggered speculation about possible cracks in the couple’s marriage.
Carmel, who is based in Canada, publicly celebrated Karen as his “major spiritual daughter” and a “rare gift to the kingdom.”
The pair were later spotted at a dinner outing, again dressed in coordinated attire, further fuelling online gossip that the preacher may be getting too close to his protégée.
The viral photos sparked heated debate among Kenyans, with some netizens accusing Carmel of disrespecting Natasha, while others defended him, insisting his relationship with Karen is purely spiritual.
Calls for him to issue a public apology to Natasha also gained traction online.
In response, Carmel addressed the rumours during a sermon, dismissing claims of infidelity. He explained that his spiritual daughters and sons are often misunderstood because of their youthful, vibrant appearances.
“When I walk with my sons and daughters, people may see Hollywood or swaggerlicious vibes, but look deeper. you’ll see Jesus,” he said.
Despite his explanation, many Kenyans remained unconvinced, with some urging Carmel to be more cautious about optics given Natasha’s high-profile status.
Natasha, who tied the knot with Carmel in a lavish wedding in 2022, has yet to directly respond to the speculation.
