Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has hit out at Deputy president Kithure Kindiki following his remarks that he could resign from President William Ruto’s government if leaders from Mt. Kenya, particularly the Meru community, fail to back the Head of State.
Speaking on his X account, Amisi mocked Kindiki, claiming that his political space within the Kenya Kwanza administration has already been squeezed by powerful figures around the President.
He alleged that Farouk Kibet, a close ally of Ruto, has already rendered Kindiki politically powerless, saying his latest threats are nothing but “early tears.”
“Huyu amefinywa tena na Farouk. Ni kilio na machozi tu mapema sana,” Amisi wrote, before dismissing Kindiki’s remarks as empty threats.
The ODM lawmaker argued that there is no need to issue ultimatums about resignation, insisting that Kindiki should simply step aside if he truly feels sidelined.
“The ground was gone long time ago. No need for threats, tell them you loved them but the people loved good governance more,” Amisi added.
The Saboti MP concluded by saying that Kenya needs a renaissance and that citizens are more concerned about accountability and service delivery than political posturing.
