Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has expressed gratitude to members of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) following his election as the party’s presidential flagbearer ahead of the upcoming general elections.
Speaking to journalists after the announcement, Museveni thanked party delegates for their continued support and reaffirmed his commitment to leading Uganda through another term.
“I sincerely thank all NRM members for entrusting me with the responsibility to represent our party in the forthcoming presidential elections.
Your confidence motivates me to continue serving our great nation with dedication,” President Museveni said.
