Car buyers in Nairobi are in for an interesting week after two companies announced the sale of 45 vehicles through public auction. Prices will start from as low as KSh 131,000.
Faulu Microfinance Bank is among those listing vehicles. The bank has put up four cars, including a 2008 Nissan Vanette priced at KSh 350,000 and a 2015 Isuzu FRR going for KSh 3.06 million. Other options include a Toyota Fielder hybrid and an Isuzu FVR.
At the same time, Nairobi-based firm Onyango & Tarus has released a much bigger list of 41 vehicles. The cheapest is a Nissan Caravan van with a reserve price of KSh 131,000, while some of the most expensive include a Toyota Land Cruiser TRJ at KSh 4.32 million and a 2016 Audi Q7 at KSh 5.42 million.
The list also features popular models such as the Toyota Vitz, Toyota Harrier, Honda CR-V, BMW 320i, Volkswagen Jetta, and several Toyota Hilux pickups.
According to the notice, the vehicles are being sold on an “as is, where is” basis, meaning buyers will have to inspect the cars carefully before bidding. Interested buyers have until September 30, 2025, to submit their offers through the platform www.eezycars.co.ke.

For those who have always dreamed of owning a car but found the prices too high, this auction could be an affordable way in. On the other hand, seasoned car dealers may also see it as a chance to expand their stock at bargain prices.
With both ordinary and high-end vehicles up for grabs, the auctions are expected to draw attention from across Nairobi and beyond.
