Police in Kilimani, Nairobi are investigating the death of a 55-Year-Old woman who died after allegedly falling from the 5th floor of her apartment.
The deceased who has been identified as Zaituni Kavaya is reported to have died in unclear Circumstances, while working at her boss ‘ house.
Accordinghto the reports given by police documents, her employer’s son claimed that she had stolen ksh 5, 000 from a trouser she had washed and when confronted, she allegedly fled and jumped over the Bulcon, fell and died.
The daughter, Faith Kavaya dismissed reports claiming that her mother was a thief claiming that she found ksh 160 in her mother’s purse that is currently in the hands of the detectives from the directorate of criminal investigations (DCI) in Kilimani.
Faith Kavaya:”I would like to call upon the Police to conduct an investigation in order to establish what happened to my mother. When she left, she told me she was going to work after which i tried to call her Phone because it was getting late, a police officer received the call he called me at Kilimani Police station, I thought she had been arrested.
When I went to the police station, I found out that she was dead. A police officer told me that she allegedly fell from an apartment in at her place of work. “
This is happening at the same time when several suspects (Sudanese nationals) who were in the house were arrested after it was established that she had been hit with a blunt object.
Residents of Kibra revealed plants to hold protests over her death which they said should be investigated.
