Rigathi Gachagua said that he wanted to ask all Kenyans to look at what the people of Malawi had done. He said that Kenyans should learn something from them.
He explained that the people of Malawi had shown great courage and had done something that was not easy.He said that they had shown that power belonged to the people and that they had made a brave decision in peace. He added that this was how real power looked when it came from the hands of the citizens.
He told Kenyans that they must remember they also had power. He said that their power was in their voices, their votes, and in standing together to speak with one voice when things were not going well.
He said that the people of Malawi had reminded them that when citizens came together, they could bring change. He said that they could correct what was not right and could push their leaders to listen. He explained that this was how a strong country should work.
Rigathi said that even though Malawi was a small country, their courage was very big. He said they did not fear and they were not silent. He said they stood up for what they believed was right.
He said that now the whole world was looking at them and saying “Well done.” He said that the people of Malawi had reminded Africa that real power was not in big offices or expensive cars, but in the hearts of the people.
He told Kenyans not to lose hope. He said that they should take strength from what Malawi had done. He told them that it was possible to make things better. He said that they should use their voices, stay strong, and be brave.
He reminded them that Kenya was their home and if they loved their country, they must protect it, fix what was broken, and always choose peace and truth.
He said that if Malawi had done it, then Kenya could do it too. He said that the time was now, and that Kenyans must wake up and take back their power and move forward together as one people.
