A young Kenyan woman has been left traumatized after her ex-boyfriend allegedly confessed to infecting her with HIV. The woman, identified only as Nyambura, leaked disturbing chats that have since gone viral on TikTok, exposing the shocking cruelty of her former partner.
Nyambura revealed that she had dated the man for a year before their breakup. Weeks later, he contacted her, admitting that he had knowingly exposed her to the virus. In the leaked messages, he coldly urged her to get tested and even mocked her with chilling words: “Go get tested and pass it to others. Welcome to the positive club.”
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the shaken woman said she has not yet gathered the courage to undergo a medical test, fearing that her worst suspicions may be confirmed. “If what he said is true, then I already know the results. My mind is not ready to handle it,” she confessed.
While many Kenyans online have rallied behind her, urging her to seek urgent medical help and legal redress, Nyambura admitted she is hesitant to involve the police. “They’ll ask for a medical report, and right now I’m not ready to face that,” she said.
