
Kenya’s second-biggest supermarket is Quick Mart, behind Naivas Supermarket. Customers travel from all over to see the 46 branches that are currently located in 12 counties thanks to the stunning red colour. The store was first opened in Nakuru town and was created and incorporated in 2006. The late John Kinuthia, a prominent businessman from Nakuru, created and owned it until his passing.
Following his passing, his family took over the company, which is currently managed by his son Dancan Kinuthia, the managing director.
