Siaya Governor James Orengo has announced a major sponsorship boost for the upcoming Siaya International Trade and Investment Conference (SITICO 2025).On Monday, September 22, the governor confirmed that the Local Authorities Pension Trust Fund (LAPFUND) had extended Ksh 5 million as a Silver Partner for the highly anticipated event.
The sponsorship, Orengo noted, is not just a financial gesture but also a strong endorsement of Siaya County’s vision to establish itself as a key hub for investment and inclusive growth.
LAPFUND has further signaled its commitment to partner with the county on strategic projects, particularly in housing development, which remains a central pillar of Orengo’s agenda to uplift livelihoods across the region.
“Our partnership with LAPFUND is anchored on a shared mission — to empower farmers, women, and youth, while expanding opportunities in value-chain development.
This sponsorship will go a long way in strengthening SITICO 2025 as a platform for co-creating prosperity,” Orengo stated.
