Murang’a senator Joe Nyutu has predicted a serious defeat for President William Ruto if he proceeds with his plan to seek reelection in 2027.
Nyutu has also cautioned Ruto allies the belief that he will be in office until 2032 foreseeing that such will not happen and they will be badly disappointed.
According to him, Ruto will lose so bad that those thinking he will secure another term will finally wake up from their current slumber.
“There’s an election in 2027 and you can only be naive to say that someone will be president upto 2032,” the senator, a Ruto critic, said on Monday.
“The dust you will get will open your eyes and make you sober again,” he further stated while speaking on Citizen TV’s Daybreak show.
He was responding to former Nominated Member of Parliament Wilson Sossion’s claim that Ruto is guaranteed another term in office after 2027.
