Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has sent a strong message to former President Uhuru Kenyatta after Uhuru’s recent speech at the Jubilee Party National Delegates Conference (NDC). Speaking at the Ngong Racecourse, Uhuru had criticized President William Ruto’s leadership, saying it was too harsh on young people and ignored voices of disagreement.
In response, Sudi told Uhuru to “relax” and enjoy his retirement. He said Uhuru had already served his time and should stop interfering with the current government. “You can’t do anything else now. We supported you, and you went home. Let others lead,” Sudi said.
Sudi also accused Uhuru of failing during his time in office. He said the former president had ten years of support but did not deliver on many promises. According to Sudi, it is wrong for Uhuru to now criticize others when he had his chance to lead.
The MP, who is a close ally of President Ruto, said leaders should focus on building the country instead of creating political drama. He added that the Kenya Kwanza government is working hard and should be allowed to do its job without distractions.
Uhuru’s remarks at the Jubilee NDC have sparked debate, especially as he promised to revive the party and prepare for the 2027 elections. But Sudi’s message was clear: it’s time for Uhuru to step aside and let the current leaders lead.
